Seagate ST3100528AS 7200.12 Stops cloning after 507 GB

Postby jmcurtis81 » 29.04.15, 15:10

Hey there,
Just seeing if anyone else has come across a similar problem that I am getting with a drive I am working on.

It is a 1 TB Seagate 7200.12 Drive.

I can image the first 507 Gigs approx, rest of the drive will not image though.
Does not read at full speed, but still images fairly quickly considering.

I have checked the partial clone and I can see some working data.

any Suggestions please :D

I am assuming this case arrived with some FW bug you solved by regeneration translator?

If so, then its likely that you cleared a list of defects in the non-resident list that are important to the translator being built correctly.
