Hi Folks,
I have a Seagate 2000GB Grenada which had a faulty heads looks like pre-amp was bad but i can’t see any platter damage.
I swapped the heads from a donor drive, and the drive is trying to start up, sounds are healthy indicating no platter damage, but it looks like there is some FW problem and the terminal is locked, i don’t have access to it. does anyone knows what are the short points for this PCB(see images on the link below).
Any assistance on the matter will be appreciated.
Thanks

try red pins first, and if they not work, try yellow pair

Recov servo mean you can not read the platters.
good luck

Re: Seagate 2TB LED:00000047 FAddr:FFFFFFFE issue
Thanks Entec,
Meanwhile the heads died so i need to get another donor and re-try.
"Recov servo mean you can not read the platters"
it sounded like heads noise was healthy and like FW corruption?
So i guessed some could be read and maybe some platter damage.
I'll give it another go.
Thanks

Hai to all
I had a same problem with same model ie Seagate Barracuda Model: ST2000DM001, FW:CC4B
I solved the problem by the help of SHORT PINS with YELLOW Pair which described in link:
