Original NRG and Slip list question.

Postby Alexii » 04.11.14, 16:53

hello. I read in several posts , that in order to get full LBA access after translator regeneration one has to put original NRG list back into the fold. It is done by saving NRG before regeneration and then " Adding the entries to slip list". My problem is i dont see a way to add the entries to slip list. After regeneration , when i open NRG list edit and add NRG entries drive originally had, i have the option to write them to DST or NRG. There is no mention of Slip list anywhere there. Help plz.

To add to slip list you must create new defect list, add the defects then there will be an option in some drop down menu at the far right of the tool-bar that will have option to add to slip list.

Didnt have the time to look properly , i did however check out the "create defect list" function. It gives 3 option , LBA , NRG and smth else. NRG dont have add to slip option. LBA does , but import of original NRG values is not possible due to "values follow different parameters" error , or smth close to it. Will play with it some more tomorrow.

OK. Had a conversation with Filip from ACE. All my woes were from me using the translator regeneration from utilities UI tab ( Work with SA / Translator / Translator regeneration or user commands / regenerate translator ) Those UI options are equal to running the m0,6,2,,,,,22 command , which regenerates without taking NRG into account. Filip told me of existence of m0,6,3,,,,,22 command , which regenerates taking ALL defect lists into account. All i had to do in my case was write back original NRG list and regenerate using m0,6,3,,,,,22.
