Hi
I have this HDD with a strange behaviour.
I hear no clicks.
It's well detected, can read all resources without any problem.
But When I try to read sectors, I get Read Error 48-bit Device error detected UNC.
But sometimes the same sector can be read.
On PC3K, head test is OK, but on DDI, the head's show failures, altough I could already imaged a piece of the drive.
What device should I trust?
I have tried to clear G-List, SMART and translator regen, but the same happens.
Thanks

i think you should try recover translator then see it finish or not and see how many defect it will find.
also if you need data use "read from active pc3000 utility" in DE command to read.
if you want to take image from HDD, build head maps, then take image from all heads, during the imaging look which head has a problem, disable that head and take image form the rest when image is finished enable the bad head and disable the rest, see if it is going well in some sectors. for example take image from 100 million sector to the end. take image form that head as you can,if that single head still has a problem, at last use "read from active pc3000 utility" in DE then continue taking image form that bad head to the the end.

I don't have DE...
Only DDI.
Only DDI.
