P-list on Seagate F3

Postby StuKeR » 29.04.14, 19:00

P-list on F3 devices, has checksum?

I've got a device with module of P-list that can be read throught utility but, when trying to run translator regenerator says that :

Error 1008 DETSEC 0000500E Process Defect List Error

If you open module with hex editor structure is pretty similar to others, but there's something "strange" that maybe make it work wrong.

There's anyway to check p-list stucture?

Thanks so much.

Hello StuKeR,

Tell me also, werent there any changes with 3rd module? Maybe it was rewritten from other drive/by other DR company?
Any other details?

Iep, sorry for delay answering, was outside

If you compare Plists seems to be very similar, but on "start" of it's suposed to be data of Plist sectors, some characters change (Like WD checksum modules).

This hdd, becomes from other DR, maybe Plist was overwritten o modified by hand who knows

The main think is that if you shot the V10 command, hdd shows to you entire PLIST, but if you want to work with it, you can't... so this is why I asking if has special checksum or similar...

Thanks so much and sorry again for delay.
