Freeplay ST1000LM010 Nothing in terminal window

I have Freeplay ST1000LM010 9YH146-550 CC9F. It shows standard 11 x click - spindown - DRD/DSC symptoms. What puzzles me is that there is absolutely nothing in terminal window - nothing on power up and no response to any command - terminal window stays clear.

Judging by the symptoms I would proceed to change head stack but is blank terminal window telling me something else - like possible PCB failure?

Has anybody experienced the same problem/symptoms?

UPDATE

And to answer the question, it is not PCB failure. I have found a donor PCB, replaced it, same symptoms. Tested patient PCB on donor drive, it works. Will proceed with head stack replacement if client agrees.
