Hello,

1. What's going on with the disc in the PC-3000 when power on?
2. Can you see drive ID?

I got next advises to try on this drive.
If there were no fw update launched previously, hard drive requires a donor drive to take logic board from.
Since it is an F3 Seagate drive, you should rewrite ROM from patient to donor or resloder the chip onto donor drive PCB.
If that will not help , try moving heads stack. Before moving heads stack I advise to check patient HDA inside and see if it has any traces of scratches. Metallic dust and scobs, maybe dirty air filter.

Did you uncheck all the "stuff" in "Edit HDD ID"? If you can't enter this menu: power off drive first, then select "Edit HDD ID" menu option, click the top "power off/on" option, and try it.

BTW... could you please let me know where the option is for: ""Init smart Fail" Patch to Rom"?

IF you read ROM to file, you can then select option to work with ROM and it is a button at the menu to the right of your ROM dump

Thanks Alyn, I was thinking it would be there. I think some of the text for descriptions of these functions is in Russian (but I'll check again).

Hello,

It seems that some SMART system file is broken,
type T>r135 in terminal and send here output.
