Postby mojimorady » 12.10.13, 20:53

Dear Guru
hi
I have a Sentosa 1TB hard disk
when i turn it on with pc3000 the calibration sound attracts my attention , it is something like this :
ttss .... zzzzzzzzzz .... spin up and calibration ok . DRD ,DSC are green
after i enter Seagate F3 window everything is ok
when i tried to read ROM , DT or Sys Files the following message (error) is shown :

Error : Error starting command "RD CP part" (Drive is not ready)
Result.................................. : Error
Cannot create file C:\Program Files\ACE Lab\PC-3000\Bin\!Profiles\SgF3\Sentosa\ST1000LM010-9YH146-CC9F-Z2L03B51-Tisp \Data\ROM\ROM.bin

and when i used HEAD CHECKS option i see the below message

F3 T>/7

F3 7>X

FAIL Op=0555 Resp=0005
FAIL Op=0555 Resp=0005
Head 00 Resistance 009A
Head 01 Resistance 0126
Head 02 Resistance 00F6
Head 03 Resistance 00DB
Head 04 Resistance 00BB
Head 05 Resistance 004A
Head 06 Resistance 00B1

when i try to save the user data , after a while the hdd starts clicking

any suggestion to recover the data ?
should i change the heads ?

You should look for media damage

dear friends
thanks for your reply
I should mention that sometimes everything is ok , I mean that when I use head test option the reply is ok , without any fail sentences
and for Reading Rom , DTs and Sys Files I specified the path , where these data should save into ,and the problems for reading is solved ,
after these steps I tried to read data , in the middle of the procedure it starts clicking , I tried head map to disable head No. 2 and 3 and continues reading data ,
but unfortunately it starts clicking and after powering off/on it , clicking continues . after some days I check the H.D.D again via pc3000 , everything is ok again , but after reading user data ( disabling heads No. 2 & 3 ) it starts clicking and everything repeats again .

any body has the same story ????
any suggestions ?
Does Rom have problem ?
