I have st 93204223As laptop Hard drive with dead pcb.. can anybody point out the rom so i can transfer it to donar. Is rom on these drives are enbeded.?
If you post a photo of the PCB somebody can point it out clearly.
The ROM is a small 8 legged chip, usually is at a 'U' marker like U12 or U14. The chip will start with '25' and usually it is located (for this model) at the bottom right of the PCB, just a little above the HSA connector.
