I have a Seagate drive here that clicks and eventually spins down. In safemode, this is what shows up:

The drive has a lot of platter damage in the top lower platters but the top platter looks good. I cant see the bottom of the lower platters. Is there a way I can get any data off this drive? With the scratched platters, it seems impossible to get it all off, but a little bit would be nice.

I replaced the heads with a donor that was almost identical... date code just off a bit. The drive still does the same as above.

I have another donor drive that is a perfect match but I want to avoid swapping heads again if possible. Is there a way to hot swap these drives?
