Hi All,

I currently have the above drive that after a spindle and head swap remains busy upon power up. The drive makes no abnormal noises during spin up, it just remains spinning and constantly busy. I have tried alternative heads and another spindle/chassis. but it remains the same.

Drive was initially received with a blown TVS and seized spindle (unusual on a single platter drive, but hey..) The drive was initially housed in an external case, which was dropped and subsequently stopped working, and to try to overcome the "non spinning" of the drive the client used another PSU which promptly blew the TVS. Initially this was just a platter swap with a PCB repair, but when the drive failed to initialise i swapped the heads as well.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction on this one, it's been hanging around a few weeks now and i would like to close it off, one way or the other... :|

Thanks

Steve.

Hi Igor,

Sorry for the late reply. I have attached 3 images of the Terminal. This is usually what you get when you power on

Is is possible to reach 'T>' in terminal ?

Can you read app code in Safe mode with no error?
