Turning off heads on Seagate F3 drives is possible, but that need certain time to figure it out. Unfortunately it will not appear in
PC-3000 UDMA Seagat F3 utility earlier the end of summer 2011. Same situation is related to cuting zones, this method is researched, but I cannot give
any exact date it will appear ready.
Self-scan methods are much more secure on modern Seagate F3 families than they were on Classic Seagate Barracuda. These methods will be researched, but no exact date was given as well.
