The serial ports on these drives are disabled by default. In UDMA as well as manual ways, the message keeps repeating as below when Ctrl-Z is aplied.

Any work around for this? Drive model is ST9160418ASG, FW DEC7. The symptom is similar to the issues in 5400.6 - translator failure persisting after rebuild.
