Postby rcz » 05.08.10, 11:30

Hi,

Here is a 1Tb hard drive with it's good ID but appears with 0 Gb Capacity.

Automatic methods doesn't work (I tried the both method : 0 Mb and LED CC repair method).

A can't clear SMART manually :

F3 T>/1
F3 1>N1
Init SMART Fail
LED:000000CC FAddr:0024EE5D
LED:000000CC FAddr:0024EE5D

Any idea ?

You cannot clear SMART on these cases. Instead, you need only rebuild translator. Some commands for .11 will still work, but different parameters. What command did you try for LBA0 fix?

You repair with manual commands?

I like Auto option, but always use manual commands. If you did repair, you will probably notice that you need to use slightly different command than the one used in Auto mode. :)

In fact it's manually command by utility  , I just tried "User command -> Translator regeneration". I didn't noticed commands were differents, but maybe it is a little more risky.
