Seagate 000000cc error (new feature)
Posted: 01.06.10, 04:56
I have had a few of these drives with this error and still cannot work out how to fix it with the PC3000.
When the box comes up explaining what to do (confusing as it is)
I short circuit the two contacts and press "start proceedure".
The motor stops and starts again and then I get a series of F3 T> down the page.
I then get an input error (still short circuited)
Then the drive becomes ready and it repeats the F3 T> down the page again, but spindle does not stop.
Do I continue short circuiting until the spindle motor stops(if it ever will), or do I press try again? Or do I just proceed with the repair even though the spindle has not stopped?
Have I short circuited at the wrong time?
Although the drive has become ready, it detects as Mb().
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
