I have a strange problem with that Seagate HDD. When i connect it to Pc3K, and power on, it start normally and no knock i can ear ( I can ear normal heads sound for start positioning, too). The problem is that the Hdd stay in Busy state.
I see the terminal report at power on, is like the follow :

The Laramie is a Hybrid drive, and is quite peculiar. Specfic fault cannot be confirmed, but it seems that information within the ROM chip is invalid. A donor with same ROM version is required, then a simple change of PCB should allow for initilisation, or at least a more informative Terminal output.

Did you manage to fix this? I have a drive with the same problem.

The problem was on PCB. I found a new PCB with the same ROM version, and i can recover all.
