ST3160815A App Code

Hi to all,

I've got a Seagate ST3160815A 7200.10 which stays in BSY and terminal shows "ERR 06 : APP CODE".
According to the customer, nothing has been done, but I really have a doubt as the label has been taken off...

So when I try to swap the board (the whole board), the HDD stays in BSY and DSC and terminal shows a Er=43.
A can read all parts of the SA without error but only App Code have data inside...

I tried to swap heads with good ones, but it's the same.

If you have an idea, please tell me :) !

this looks like add to pending error.

Use the utility in seagate to make that.

Good luck.

Nothing happens after that, the drive stays in BSY and DSC, even after half an hour.

You need use a LDR as mentioned to begin a DE task, select 'Utility Actions' and check the appropriate options. From the last terminal log you should be able to reach 'T>', if this is possible you can create a LDR from your patient drive.

Thanks for reply.

I wasn't able to initialize the disk with the loader. Maybe I didn't used the correct option...

Whatever the customer decided his data wasn't so important.

Thanks again for your help.
