ST98823A Momentus 2.5

HDD is locked and can not get it to unlock. Anyone else have this problem and ideas on how I can unlock this drive so that I can get data from it please.

I am sure this ATA password can be removed by selecting the 5400.3 family in Security subsystem section of the Seagate utility. All other settings leave as standard.

It is a 5400.2 family so when I try like you say for 5400.3 did not work any other suggestions or ideas how I can unlock this drive please - TKX

actually you can do it by changing some byte in vendor ID...
