Need Help for Seagate 7200.10 ST3160815AS

Postby Powermax » 29.09.09, 16:27

Hi to all.
I have a strange problem with ST3160815AS Seagate Hdd.
When i connect it to PC3K and power it, the motor start and no knocking sound i ear.
The Hdd stay to busy state, and the utility do not recognize it automatically.
I forced run the correct seagate utility, and in terminal window, after Power On/Off, i see the screen below. No other messages appear on terminal. I try to clean contact from PCB and Hdd, but nothing change. I try to use a donor PCB, with the same Firmware, but nothing change.
At this point i try to change Heads, but nothing change. I try to use the faulty Hdd Heads on a donor Hdd, and this one function perfect. I do not understand what is the problem. The PCB is good and the Heads too...
Someone have some ideas for help me ?

Thank you to all. :(
