It's not possible to rewritte the firmware from heads? I mean If you took one head 3.acc WU and other 3.acc TK there's no difference (I think) bettwen them. I'm sure that seagate has a machine that you put the original 3.acc WU and becomes 3.acc TK or 3.add SU for example. There's no way to do this?

reprogram preamp chip. I think this can be done. but what tool. and if there is a tool for this. the price will be tool expensive caused it is manufacturer level.

There is more differences between the heads as well, not only the preamp chip.
The head can be from different manufacturere, and have some different values.
Like different impedance for MR sensor, different BIAS value for read with MRs, different microjog value for distance between R and W part of the head, different write amplifier value for writing...
So replace the MHA with different type is generally possible, but this is close to the re-engineering the whole HDD.
