Hi,
I've got a Seagate ST380819AS with firmware: 8.04.
Initially drive knocked and terminal showed up head related problem, so I swapped heads.
Now I've got this terminal report:

Does this mean pcb is damaged as well ?

developer suggested this drive has problems with its PCB or the platters's surface is dirty.

it worth trying to install the pcb from same family donor

Hi,

Have a similiar problem afther change heads, but could copy some sectors very very slow.

How did you resolve your problem, it was "dirty" ? or change the PCB.

I didn't.
It was platter damage.

Did you see the platter damage before attempting head replacement? Was filter dirty?

I only ask because I am trying to find out the levels of damage that can in fact be recovered from.
