Actually, since it says:

Code: Select all

Checking for recovery, LBA = 40720238 - 0 = 40720238

does that mean no LBA adjustment was necessary?

Using "Read from active PC-3000 Utility", it seems I am able to read most of the data (but I get a few errors still). But it is so slooow, there's no chance I can read over 5 billion sectors like this. Are there any tricks to speeding up read? Quick calculation, it will take over 2800 days(!) to read the entire drive at current speed, and I see data on the very last sectors so I can't limit by LBA. Also, this drive is from an external Seagate Backup Plus Desktop Drive, and it seems that various tools (DE, EnCase, FTK Imager) are getting very confused about partitions and file systems, so they don't show any file structure, only unallocated, so I can't export selected files either.

1I tried "Disable AutoRelocation while reading" but it doesn't seem to do anything, so I guess it doesn't work for this disk. Would appreciate any suggestions.
