Hi
This drive after power, clicks a bit and it goes Ready.
FW: SD-25
I'ts detected right, but with 0 LBA.
When I try to check heads or something in terminal I get the LED error:
LED:000000CC FAddr:0025BF67
or
LED:000000CC FAddr:0028E24B
I have tried the solutions for the LED error, but none have worked.
Can this be really heads?
Thanks
Thanks

And you try to regen translator with no luck? You say it clicks sometime before reaching DRDY, after translator regen what error do you see?
Re: Seagate ST3500820AS
I have to try.
I have tried to clear SMART with N1 on terminal, it gives me the same error.

this is .11 series, there is no NRG list to worry about, and symptoms seem to be common of translator failure, but if it knock heads a little before reaching DRDY it could be some physical problem, this is why I ask you to regen translator, hopefully it will be fine, but if not record here the error you see.

After translator regen, the same LED error...
It should be heads...
I have quoted the client already to see if he's willing to continue or not.
Thanks
Re: Seagate ST3500820AS
Maybe you can try to adjust head map in ROM. It seems though at least some heads are good, otherwise you would have complete spindle stopped.
Re: Seagate ST3500820AS
Since it is an F3 Seagate drive, you should rewrite ROM from patient to donor or resloder the chip onto donor drive PCB.
With best regards
