If I isolate the motor then its getting ready but no terminal access, and its detected as pcb defaults i.e
Model : ST_M13FQBL
Serial : QNR_BFW
Firmware : 11291209
Capacity : 3.86 GB (8 089 950)
Tried read channel short, then no terminal access and no ready. Customer told that he has seen smart bad status before crash.
Any help is welcome

Re: No terminal access after getting ready on ES.2
Connect PCB alone and open HT, power on from ur UDMA and keep pressing Ctrl-Z in HT
it SHOULD work
then stop motor n connect pcb then power motor UP again n clear smart & G
then it should work after
this is normal Seagate issue

Re: No terminal access after getting ready on ES.2
As it was discussed in earlier posts , terminal access is blocked in thease HP** FIRMWARE hdds . i noticed that Terminal access is available in similar working hdd.
It is having peculiarities and normal procedure (F3 Arch) is not working .
In this case i tried to update firmware
I downloaded the firmware update from Seagate web site and tried to update this drive
1. Disconnected pcb from hdd, connected to normal SATA port on motherboard and switch on
2. It is not detected correct values but it has given some default values ,so its ready now.
3. Pcb fixed on hdd while power is on
4. When i run the firmware update cd then the utility reports "Not found the model ST3250310NS" and exits.
Welcome any suggestions
