Hello
Run Seagate F3 utility, run Sector editor, select in HDD Read/Write options "Use utility", answer NO when utility will ask you about "Transmit data in spite of read error". In this mode you can read the user sectors.
Then try to find location of NTFS boot sector (if disk had NTFS system) - check area around 63 sector.
Write here results please.

I am using the Seagate F3 Architecture utility. When I select Sector edit from the tools menu I receive a popup which provides the warning about saving data directly on the hard drive. No exits the popup and Sector edit, but I select Yes. I am provided the next popup GoTo LBA and I put in 63. When pressing OK the BSY DRD and DSC are lit for about 10 seconds, they I receive the popup Read Error 48 bit...... DRD DSC ERR and UNC are now lit.

I was never presented with the question Transmit data in spite of read error...
