maxtor STM3500320AS is very slow

dear Guru
hi
i have a hdd in the following specifiacation :
Maxtor STM3500320AS , 500GB Sata , 3.5" ,FW: MX1A
when i connect it to pc3000 and turn it on , it start up but not normally same as time when they need soloutions
for corrcting "busy" state , ( i mean when i turn it on it lasts about a minute to reach readiness )
afer reachnig readiness when i try to save its data it takes very long time
I also read "Antipending Soloution " but it was not for "F3 Family" , now please if possible
help me how i can recover the data from it

i checked all of its SA modules , all are ok .
in F3 windows every thing is ok , the problem is copying data is very slow .
i am confused how i can read the data

Hi,

You have to understand why data reading is so slow.
How many sectors does it read at one read? Are you able to make an head map?

Hello
Try the following
1- Backup all SA modules then rewrite them again to SA
2- Clear smart
3- build head map in DE and try to image the drive head by head and see if all heads read at the same speed
