For your users here, and after testing alot and diagnose, i just discovered today that it is NOT IMPORTANT to DETECT the Hard Disk in order to recovery the DATA ONLY

if you just need to recover the DATA, not important to have the hdd detected

i just recovered the DATA from very OLD case here Hitachi 500GB
and i was Able to get my clients DATA

and really and no joke, UDMA is the ONE and the BEST Choice

yes i was able to read it in DE and the utility is active

I too agree with that. Especially on Hitachi and Samsung Desktop drives, the utility helped me on several occasions to access data with just the MAX LBA input to DE.
