Re: Maxtor Athena DSP - Auto Recovery not supported
WAG23C7Z seems unusual. Usually with WAH21pB0 FW the code changes to WAH21PBZ.
Is there any possibiltiy to repair manually? What errors do you recieve when loading LDR? Have you loaded LDR to alternative PCB?

Re: Maxtor Athena DSP - Auto Recovery not supported
Hi,
Well
You have "3" versions in fact
1: ROM Default (SAFE MODE WITHOUT RESET) = WAH23C72
2: ROM (SAFE MODE WITH RESET) = WAH21PBZ
3: STANDARD WORKING CODE = WAH21PB0
I would suggest to use the manual method via PC3k and understand how to do it correctly

Re: Maxtor Athena DSP - Auto Recovery not supported
auto recovery... auto do not mean what we want... sometime auto work worst then manual repair... I suggest you to repair it manually. start loader and check module... I think it is simple and not so difficult
