Safe Mode in N40P

I have a problem with my Maxtor N40P Family. I put the jumper settings in safe mode to check the hdd. when i try to put it in master mode or normal mode still the safe mode is appearing in the utility. I try auto recovery and loading from database still i cannot go inside the utility. How can i get rid of that safe mode thing.

If you use it in Normal mode and it's still on safe mode means that it has some firmware problem.
What's the drive model?
Have you tried to start the drive with a loader?
