"Hot News" when will it be available to users?

Postby Monk » 21.04.09, 10:46

Looking forward for this.

16th of April 2009

ACE company has developed the unique method for changing head map in HDD RAM for WD Marvell and WD ROYAL HDD. Nobody has not known before how to change HSA in these Hard Disk Drives!

The new method enables to switch off any heads and keep the structure of the translator undamaged. It allows to read data on the other remained heads without changing HSA if one of the drive heads is damaged. And if you change HSA, now you can read user data on each head separately which solves the problem of incompatibility of HSA from various Hard Disk Drives.

New WDC Marvell utility functions will appear in the summer PC-3000 UDMA update.
Summer update will come at the end of June/the beginning of July this year.

That´s great :)

If the update could be every 2 months or 1 months will be great for us.

Great news. Just had a head problem during cloning on a WD. Looking forward to new update. Maybe will not happen again. Cloned over 50% of drive then lost heads, LBA and SMART

Thanks
