The app takes an image of the label and the number on the PCB and then creates a record in a personal database that is searchable, so if you are looking for that WD1002FAEX-00Z3A0 With a serial number of WMATR and dcm with HTJ, then you search WD1002FAEX-00Z3A0 WMATR HTJ in the app and it will show you exaxctly where it is.
