Ill start by saying that opening this is a nightmare. Its molded plastic contact to backing. This is a tester drive not the patient. cracked in disassembly but just seeing if it is even worth my time to try. I believe it is encrypted by the white dot on the front of the nand. masking is a nightmare to remove.

Model on the device is SDCZ430-064G
Label on Nand is 3282ZEU74037 064G WHITE dot top left
Will not recognize, shows RAW, ALL 0's in sectors.

A small resistor is to one side and it uses usb 3.1 protocol with the leads for usb. 4 on one side and 3 on the other side.

Corrected: (not chip off)
Big question is a monolithic recovery even possible? cant find it in database.

thanks for any insights. haven't struck out in a while, figure id throw it up here just in case one of you went down this road and lost a day of life. haha.

It was this model: http://odzyskiwanie-danych.com.pl/image ... arvika.jpg
Device is completly destroyed. First problem is crack which damage nand crystal for 99,9%. Second problem is destoyed pads, traces. Recovery is not possybe by any way.

this was a test drive....had to figure out how to open it. the pictures im showing you are not the patient

The device I have had been removed but has a surface crack on the top. the underside seems intact. it even asks to format the drive so i hope its just the top.

If it was perfectly intact, is recovery possible? From what I can tell these have no protection at all they just sit in the molded plastic that is pliable and I believe this is doomed to crack with repeated plug ins.

thanks for replying, and for the picture.

Yes, if monolith is extracted from case intact, recovery is possible from this Sandisk. It is very popular case at our lab. Also you need practice with removing top layer without destroing traces/pads/vias.

Sent you a private message. I sanded through the conductive layer to see what was underneath and where the crystal was physically located. Should have taken pictures at every step, waited until I hit wall with finding pinouts. I'm not freddy krugering chips on the regular, haha. At any rate thanks for chiming in, I see you are an expert in such things, a labs lab. Appreciate your input!
