I am using PC-3000 Card Reader with a 16GB PNY MSD.
I get a message saying CARD-IS-LOCKED.
What does that mean?

Re: PNY MSD Card
It has security lock. You can unlock it if you know the password and keep the content. Or you can unlock it anyway but loose the content. Or go for chip off to bypass security lock and extract content.
Re: PNY MSD Card
Usually such problem happens when the security module in SD/mSD SA become damaged. Drive start to think that it's locked. As the result, we have to bypass the "write protection" - solder the mSD through a Spider Board or Circuit Board, and read the NAND directly. If everything will goes well, it will be possible to recover data.
