Hi, I got a eMMC 169 chip from Samsung S2. I don't get access with eMMC reader. Maybee the controller is damaged.

I s it possible to read the service pins and get data back with pc3000flash ?

PC-3000 Flash does not support Mobile Phone recovery, but PC-3000 Mobile will have a huge number of modes for working with NAND core direct access.

jerema, what is the name of chip? You can check in our database: http://odzyskiwanie-danych.com.pl/monol ... abase.html we have a lot of pinout for nand access for eMMC chip.

We should be able read the chip.

Here's the pinout: http://i63.tinypic.com/j64ump.jpg

Though it'd probably be easier to first try reading it using a typical eMMC adapter to SD or USB such as this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3-IN-1- ... st=ae803_5

It's pretty much just an SD card in a different package electronically. So if the eMMC is good it can just be read directly this way. If it's no good, you can get a dump using a monolith adapter or spider-board. Just don't expect that the memory controller will be easy to identify or supported. So you'll probably need someone like Arvika to engineer the solution for you anyway.

Not to mention the very real possibility that the device has encrypted the data on the chip. So you'd probably want to investigate that before even starting.

I assume the pinout required is the NAND protocol as opposed to eMMC pinout

@Datamedics. The Problem is I can not read the chip with eMMC to SD adapter. I think the chip is damage. The pin layout that you posted is the eMMC Pinlayout. I would try to read only the nand.

it is necessary to solder the VDDi for the GND through a capacitor

Please read full topic. Jerema use adapter for it. It has connected VDDi signal already - build-in. Here he can read memory only via NAND access.
