Did anyone have success with SSS6696 controllers?
I have this Kingston DT with a faulty controller, chip is read and ECC is good. But PC3K doesn't support the SSS6696 controller, and raw recovery did only result in a high number of corrupted files.
TS has been looking at the case, so I wonder if anyone have a magical solution for this.

Hello Espen.
Actually, we were able even to reconstruct a File System using our Virtual Image Building algorithm.
For complete Image Reconstruction, you need a translator. Nobody support SSS6696 assembling algorithms.

I know Roman, but after checking it seemes like the majority of the files (estimated 90%) was damaged and not possible to open. So I was hoping for an alternative solution.
Would it be possible to transfer the nand chip to an identical thumbdrive (same controller), or are there variations on these controllers which makes this impossible?

The main reason of NAND Flash cases failure is a bit errors in Firmware area which is located in NAND chip.
If you try to swap the NAND to a healthy PCB, you will get the same problem. Controller will start to upload the firmware from NAND, but due the bit errors and FW corruption, CPU will not be able to complete initialization. As the result - everything remain the same.
P.S. Use RAW on transformation graph. It might have much better result. As I remember, more than 60% of data should be in a good condition. Pretty strange that you found just 10%.

Thank you Roman for your (always) excellent support. The new method you explained (https://blog.acelaboratory.com/pc-3000- ... ystem.html) gave me a much better result..
