SSD Drives [ Chip Off Not Recommended Why ]

Hello Folks ,
My Self Training of PC 3000 Flash Has Started From Today .On Page 15 I read That " SSD Should Not Be Worked Like Typical NAND Device " . I Have SSD Suite Also And i Know that PC 3000 SSD works on techno mode to read from non working SSD's .My question is that if a device is dead and cannot work in techno mode also then its very necessary to work with those SSD by chip off method . I have seen that PC 3000 Flash Software has a lot of support for SSD working inside tool .So why is such a thing stated ,Is this due to the fact that a manual update is required to revamp the documentation .

PS : Love to get some comments from fellow NAND customers and colleagues

Hi Amarbir,

Did you get an answer to your question? I am also very interested to know the answer, so if you have information, could you please share?

I have not had a SSD to work on yet and know nothing about the package that these chips come in, do they work in the Flash adapters or is the package totally different?

SSD chip unsoldering is very bad idea. Most of modern SSD models have full hardware encryption, and the data on chips is totaly encrypted by AES-256 KEY or by Dynamic XOR.

PC-3000 Flash support data recovery from very old and simple SSD, like Samsung MLC, STEC, and some others. But now - this method is not working with modern drives.

If your SSD has a problem with PCB, you can try to find donor and swap NAND from patient to donor. Encryption Keys are storing inside FW, so no need to swap CPU also.

I know im digging this up

But since it came the era of NVME.

Can i swap NAND chips on them. And what are the new difficulties with new NVME SSDs. Thank!
