Hello!
Samsung locked all access to technomode in all their drives starting from 850 EVO family. We are working on this problem right now but unfortunately we don't have estimate time when solution will be released.

Hi Guys,
I'd have handle this case. Being not supported it is already a closed case?
It get RDY DSC status after a while and full ID, but it doesn't read (readiness loss).

Samsung EVO860. Get ready after some time, with right size and serial number. But can not copy any bit.
Got someone an idea what I can do ?

Hello. You shouldn't expect any kind of solution in the nearest time. Problem is very complex and there is no any obvious solution.

Model: Samsung SSD 860 EVO
The situation is as follows:
The SSD is not recognized by other forensic tools, yet PC-3000 Express is able to retrieve the model name, serial number, and firmware version.
However, even with PC-3000 Express, proper data acquisition was not possible.
I'm curious to know:
How does PC-3000 Express obtain this information?
How does PC-3000 Express function?
Ultimately, there doesn’t seem to be a physical hardware issue with the SSD.
Could this be a controller chip problem, or is there an issue with the NAND Flash Memory?
Let me know if you'd like any further refinements!

Hello. Your drive has a typical firmware problem. Most likely - internal translator is damaged and not allow reading the data are. We recommend heating the NAND to +80..+180C with +10C step and try to switch power ON/OFF in attempt to read sectors in DE.
In case of a controller failure, you'll never saw the passport ID

Thank you for your answer.
I am a beginner, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
Could you kindly explain how to operate PC-3000 EXPRESS in order to follow your advice? I would greatly appreciate your guidance.

You should connect your faulty SSD to PC-3000 Express, and make a new task in Data Extractor based on connected drive. After that, you need to warm the SSD NAND chips with Hot Air Gun to +80C, make repower of drive and try to read the random sector. You should find the best temperature that will allow to you get access to the NAND chips. We recommend rising the temperature with +10C step until you reach +180C. With every new +10C, try to repower the drive and read any LBA.

I attempted to recover data from the SSD by increasing the temperature in 10-degree increments using a heat gun, but unfortunately, I was not successful.
However, your response was helpful.
Thank you.
