Samsung MZ-CPA2560/0A5

Postby tdrc » 09.06.17, 21:58

I've mounted this SSD in a SATA Adapter and connected it to the PC-3000, when powered on, it remains Busy. All of the components were tested and the SSD is electronically sound. Appears to be a Firmware issue or Controller Chip failure. I search the board for anything that looked like it could be used to initiate Safe Mode, but nothing stood out.

Controller Chip is S3C29MAX01-Y330

Is this model supported by the SSD utility and is there a way to get this SSD into Safe Mode?

Hello! Looks like a MacBoock Air drive. I'm right?

Can you attached pictures from front and back side of SSD board? I would like to check something.

The contact points did allow the SSD to reach a ready state during the Loader startup process. The only loader that would load was the 470A_LDR.ldr, which did not allow sector access. The three other options failed to reach the end of the loading process without producing and error. Looks like the current loaders are not compatible with this SSD. Does anyone have a Loader that would work with the above SSD?

The client declined the service and we had to send the SSD back, thanks for the info. Will reach out if I run into another one of these.

Hello! Unfortunately, without PC-3000 SSD you don't have Utilities which allows you to work with internal SSD Firmware. So you should purchase SSD add on first, and then - try to get access to internal firmware, reconstruct damaged parts of it and recover data.

I have the same problem.

Got in safe mode the 470A_LDR.ldr loader running

but after that it is not possible to recover and no sector edit.

I have PC-3000 UDMA SSD
