Hi,

I got this Transcend SSD with SM2256K.

It stays in BSY.

After shorting and choosing Adata utility for SM2256K, drive IDs OK

But when I read sectors via utility, all sectors look the same, and garbled. Sector 0:

Sector 2048:

All sectors look the same.

When I create translator, I get this
Service area scanning
block: 0x0004........................... : ISP
block: 0x0005........................... : ISP
Completed

Blocks of translator is not found

and then,
Translator build
User blocks (Found)..................... : 0x00000000
Min version: 0xFFFFFFFF; Max version: 0x0000
Completed

Indeed, if I create a new task, all sectors read OK (all green), but they are all empty (zeroed).

Any ideas?

Transcend drives are not supported officially by PC-3000. Maybe you can send this drive to us for research.

SM2246 - have the same translator structure, LDR and other modules. But starting from SM2256 - all models might be very different. Even if both are based on the same controller like SM2256K (ADATA is supported, Transcend is not supported).

Alright, thanks for the input.

Gonna ask the client if they're willing to have their drive sent for research.
