Several Patriots with huge ECC errors

Postby jojo2012 » 29.09.22, 15:31

Hi,
as subject I am getting a lot of Patriots (PS3111) where most of the blocks have ECC errors.

Even the last case I'm handling to give you an example out of 800MB, 600MB have ECC errors.

Is there anything that can be done or is the data in those blocks unrecoverable?

Jojo

Hello Jojo,

Usually, the heating/freezing helps to reduce the number of errors. The NAND quality isn't good in the latest models of the SSD, that's why after the first pass of copying, we have to reread the bad sectors again.

Thanks so much Roman, I'll try that
