HD SAS FUJITSU - MBA3147RC

Postby Alexandre Silveira » 23.03.12, 12:47

Dear Friends
I have a Fujitsu HD SAS model MBA3147RC where I can not access the data area to retrieve the information.
He presents the following symptoms;

1. Starts the spindle motor = OK
2. After beginning not calibrated, it is emitting sounds metallic.
3. Analysis of PCB has no signs of chips or components visibly damaged.

I need help to try to recover the data, if someone has had some experience and solution to apply.

I thank all

Alexandre

That was solved by making a hot swap and reading with "Long reading" option.

This case we have managed to solve here in our company. Hotswap procedures did not work, because the set of heads are damaged.
To retrieve the data we had to replace the head assembly using in our clean room.
