pc3000 SAS ISSUES

Two issues, the PC3000 SAS card that I just purchased came in a X16 PCI-Express form factor even though its only a x4 card. The manual that came with the card even shows it for a x4 port. I now have to find a motherboard with an extra full length x16 port to use the card. The other issue is that the Data Extractor for SAS is different than the normal one for SATA/IDE. Where can I find this manual for the SAS version???
