Hitachi HDP725050GLA360 No ID

Postby pclab » 30.07.16, 17:41

Hi

I got this Hitachi that can't be ID.
Spins OK, no clicks or sounds.
I can read NVRAM if I remove the PCB from HDA. Tried to standby, reconnect PCB and wake it up but stays busy.
What do you guys think?
Bad NVRAM?

Thanks

try it with non native NVRAM and check if SA can read, if yes read NVRC from surface. If no, then take SA TOP parameters from NVRAM and write to donor NVRAM and then check for SA access to read NVRC module.

In some cases BSY will remain when head cannot read

After headmap changes, I could get a backup of copy 1.
But this is definitely head problem.
