Thanks for the tip.
After initializing with 5410A9 Family Drive stops clicking. If i Refresh HDD ID i get correct id with capacity.
I tried to backup resources and after lot of struggle it seems it can read OK copy 0 of RPSH and USAG, and copy 0 of MFGP with error (if i look inside module is all 00 00 00 00 00)
I don't see any RMDT or PSHT modules so i can initialize translator in ram.
If i try to edit NV-RAM i get that head map is 20 00 E8 03 E3 78. Which kind of strange.
I've seen talking about same subject here:
viewtopic.php?f=161&t=9179&p=32389&hilit=5410A9#p32389Also i've seen you provided the Correct Head map location Offset in there.
So i searched in hex NV-RAM.nvr to NV-RAM_5.nvr for normal head map like 00 01 02 03 ... but could not find any.
Any hint about head map editing?
Anyway now drive was in ready state and i tried to see if it can read user data.
I could build Heads Map.
After lots of trials in data extractor setings i found that hd0 hd1 hd3 hd4 hd 5 can read user data and hd2 is completely dead.
The key for reading is to increase timeouts otherwise the drive would get BSY and never come back when it reaches bad sectors.
After visual inspection hd2 seems to be ok so maybe just the coils in it are damaged and that's why cannot make reading.
I guess if i find donor i could read that surface too.
It's slowly reading now. I could find partitions and needed data. I'll keep you posted.
