Hello guys

Its Hitachi HCC543232A7A380, i have some drives of 160gb and 320gb.
if i connect the drive it detects normal in universal utility, and i can check SMART which is good.
but if i scan, drives shows ABR from 1st to Last sector.


now if i select Hitachi-ARM utility, i have to manually select 5432A7 with Tech Key checked
it gives error switching to techno mode


i connect the pcb alone and did NV-RAM edit from 00 01 to 00 00,
now drive is giving access to SA with head 00.


Luckily i have 1 piece of 160gb and 1 piece of 320gb which is working normal.

i am taking a term LOCKED as i think it is locked by DVR/PVR
what i did till now is, i compared 2 locked 320gb modules which are same like SECI, FEAT, SMRT, ZONE, IDNT etc etc.
even NV-RAM too (found some differences which i think is for zone or puis thing)

after comparing 2 non working drives (locked) i compared 1 locked with unlocked drive.
till now what i guess it has some kind of encryption in rom which is not allowing utility to get its tech key.

here i am attaching 2 locked and 1 unlocked firmware.

how you done this? i try but without succes .
need same pcb number label or same fw? where and how need to write that?

What about the same issues at Toshiba MQ01ABD032VS ?
