Samsung HM502JX/VPK - 500GB

Good morning everyone. I have a Samsung HM502JX/VPK 500GB.
The hard drive has a mini USB connector and after I connected it to a laboratory workstation, it turns on and then turns off after a while.
It doesn't make any strange noises, hasn't been opened, and seems to be functioning correctly.
Does anyone happen to know how to connect it to the COM port of the PC-3000?
I haven't found any connection diagrams. I would like to attempt a diagnosis via serial.
