WD10EAVS-00D7B1 : DragFly2 or Kermit ?

Postby hddr49 » 29.07.16, 18:13

Hi there,
I have a patient drive, kernel detected as DrgFly2 (has fallen)
I have donnor drive, detected as Kermit
Why this 2 drives are not recognized as the same family ?

PatientDonnor
ModelWD10EAVS-00D7B1WD10EAVS-00D7B1
DCMHHNNHT2MABHHRNHT2MAB
Date18 Oct 200827 Oct 2008
S/NWCAU43594975WCAU43997556

I expect something wrong in patient, prevent to be well recognize.
Head swap didn't work, donnor heads are good in donnor (revert swap)

Is it a case that may be ok with hotswap ?
Thanks.

A bit confused here. The title of your post says WD10EAVS-00D7B1, which is indeed a Kermit. Your chart shows both drives as being WD10EADS-00D7B1 which doesn't appear to be a valid drive model according my database. There are other models of WD10EADS which are Dragfly2 but not 00D7B1.
