Hello Ts Staff,
When i Got My PC 3000 UDMA-e I did Not Get Any PC 3000 WDC USB/SATA Adapter .Please Refer To This Image

Image

What i am Trying To Do Is " Something Few Guys Should Learn "

1 : I Have a WD5000KMVV-11TK7S1 With Dead ROM
2 : I Read The ROM Using a External Programmer
3 : Opened The Rom Dump and Used Acelab Hexedit " Hexedit Has Beautiful Western Digital Marvel Plugins "
4 : Using One Plugin " I Copied And extracted All Rom Modules " To Seperate Files
5 : So Now Either I Can Program That ROM Using External Programer / Boot Rom Adapter With ROM Ver 003008C " This ID Can Be Checked By Module 4F Extracted Before "
6 : Once That is Done i Will Copy All Extracted Rom Modules From Defective ROM To The One I Programmed
7 : Voila Magic :D

PS : Could You Please Tell Me The Schematics Of this Adapter " So That i Can Use a Alternative Myself ".Will That Maxtor Adapter Also Work ? " What Pins To Connect It To :?:

Dear Amarbir[CDR-Labs], we can not share the schematic, I hope you understant why :) They are not very expensive, so we always advise to purchase them from ACE sales. Today I've solved one case with WD USB with Slow Responding using this 2,5" WD adapter, and we didn't need to solder a SATA adapter or find a SATA PCB, so I think it worth to buy.

I'm about to order these new adapters, but I can't tell from the photos exactly how they will connect. These new PCBs don't have "pins" coming out, but it looks like the new terminal adapter requires them.

What am I missing? How do you connect this Terminal adapter...

To this PCB?....

I noticed the picture of "to this PCB..." (in my previous post) was missing. Fixed now. Is connection to this new PCB possible?

Yes, but you need to solder the wires from "USB HDD" pins in adapter to terminal pads
in USB PCB in the same order like if PCB has the pins and you connect it directly.

It can be enough to use only three pins: white, blue and violet.

300ddr, at least it works, and it's better than no solution at all ;)

I read the ROM in boot mode on WD5000LMVW-11VEDS6 using Toshiba adapter, and connected it as a usb2.0.
