Bad head, corrupt firmware or surface issue ?

Postby hddr49 » 15.06.24, 13:54

Hi there

I have a Classic Fblite WD10JMVW-11AJGS4 with head 3 damaged.

Usb to SATA Ok, Disabled SED ok, cloning heads 0,1,2 ok
but head 3 failed.

Try to head swap, all is ok, but, reading on head 3 failed.

Head is not the issue here, neither microjogs

Any ideas ?
thx

I find out than head3 can be read in sector edit
But il DE, read from active utility isn't supported

I think I already have this issue, but don't remember the fix...
