I have a hard drive

have WDC WD10SMZW-11Y0TS0 Palmer Family
I unlocked its rom (SED locked)
But after unlocking, it does not read the ROM completely
And the size and model of the hard drive is not specified

The ROM is being read correctly. You need to use a loader from a donor drive with the same ROM FW.

First get the loader. Then upload the dir and overlays via the RAM button in the utility.

I tried, but after uploading dir
It gives this error and does not upload
Statc Mdl writing error Device Error Detected: "VSC ERR INV FUNC CODE REQ"
or

Looks like drive may have head failure.
Did you swap heads?
Did the client say what happened to the drive?

Hi everyone. I am having same issue

Mine has bad heads, was clicking before. I changed those heads. The drive becomes ready and showing full ID
Right as soon as i clicked resources backup the drive read through some modules and died showing DISK ECU UNSAFE ERROR and VSC ERR UNSUP ACTION CODE

I think the PCB might be the HDD killer. The drive wont spin no more, Having 0.17V on power. So platters wont spin no more
